About Ashmore PCYC
The Ashmore PCYC was established in 1983, offering the community of Ashmore and neighbouring suburbs the opportunity to participate in affordable sporting, recreational and cultural activities.
The Ashmore PCYC is one of the Gold Coast's largest providers of recreational facilities and activities for young people, with almost 4,000 members utilising the 25 plus activities on offer.
The Ashmore PCYC is largely self-funded relying on income from activity attendance, fundraising, government grants and subsidies, and community support. All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible.
The branch manager, Sergeant Craig Green, in conjunction with the management committee, controls the Ashmore PCYC internally with strict guidelines in relation to overall management issues and expenditure.
The PCYCs benefit enormously from a large pool of volunteers, enabling branches throughout the state to offer a diverse and challenging range of programs.
