About Bundaberg PCYC
The Bundaberg PCYC is one of the more recent jewels in the PCYC crown only opening in September 2001. The original branch manager, Jack Dempsey, has moved from the police service, and is currently the member for Bundaberg, representing Bundaberg’s interests in State Parliament.
In the six years since opening, the branch has continued to expand, with over 830 current members. The branch services areas including Bundaberg City as well as Burnett, Isis, Kolan, and Mt Perry shires. The Bundaberg PCYC has grown a strong community base and our activities are organised to provide an outlet where members of the community can enjoy sporting activities and social events such as a weddings or a dance.
Workplaces can hold conferences and business functions here as well. We have clubs and activities for younger and older members to enjoy, including our monthly Community Craft Markets which showcase the artistic talents of our local artists with a large arts and crafts section. We also have Blazer’s Youth Group, Over 50’s Friendship club, Youth Management Team, programs for children with special needs, a teenage holiday program, vacation care program, gymnastics and karate.
We hold many annual community events including the PCYC Race Day and the Bundaberg Bridal and Formal Expo.
