About Crestmead PCYC
Crestmead Police-Citizens Youth Club officially opened in July 2009 in response to community need. It is the newest of 46 PCYC’s state-wide and continues the long tradition, started in 1948, of providing sporting, recreational, cultural and welfare programs for all members of the community with the mission of Enhancing Queensland Communities Through Youth Development. The Crestmead PCYC is being introduced to the community in response to a specific need for youth engagement in Crestmead and the surrounding community. This venture has been supported by the Logan City Council and the Community Renewal Program. The Club is being established with a program-specific charter, offering a range of early intervention, crime prevention, personal development and welfare programs targeting youth ‘at risk’ and their immediate influences.
Crestmead PCYC is leading the way in providing youth programs tailored to meet the needs of its community and offers a range of activities and programs for members of the Crestmead/Marsden and Browns Plains community. Members of the community (regardless of age) can come down and participate in the range of activities on hand from boxing, drama, music lessons, computer classes, martial arts, hip hop dancing, wrestling, active alphabets and kickboxing to name a few.
