About Gladstone PCYC
The Gladstone PCYC has been operating for thirty years and reopened at the new premises in Yarroon Street in 2003, with the official opening of the new building by the Honourable Peter Beattie in November 2004.
The Gladstone PCYC motto is "Improving communities through youth development." We currently offer twelve activities to the Gladstone community with others in the process of being developed.
In recent years we have been host to various major events ranging from the Gymnastics Level State titles to other major sporting events and as a concert venue for Shannon Noll and Thirsty Merc. Gladstone PCYC was the venue for the Sothertons Fashion Awards Show and has also been hired for major corporate functions and health and lifestyle expos.
Several of the sporting associations in Gladstone hire the centre throughout the year to host their sporting fixtures – these associations include Gladstone Senior and Junior Basketball, Gladstone Hockey Association and the Futsal Association.
Gladstone PCYC services the Gladstone area as well as the Calliope, Mount Larcom, Tannum Sands and Boyne Island areas. On average the Gladstone PCYC has 900 members a year.
