About Mt Gravatt PCYC

Mt Gravatt PCYC opened on 17th September 2004. The club is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for young people.

We offer a range of developmental programs and activities in areas such as music, including guitar and drum lessons, song writing workshops and music production and we have full recording facilities on site. We also have the capability to conduct these workshops off site. Other activities include hip hop dancing, cooking classes, young writers’ group, youth events team, breakdancing, learning club, sk8 skills sessions, computers with internet access and jujitsu classes.

We work with local schools with developmental programs for young women and men. Each year we conduct the Southside Youth Festival in Youth Week. This very busy week includes activities such as SK8 and BMX competitions, band nights, writers’ festival, hip hop dance party and a fashion parade.  For 2008 we had 470 members. We offer a very popular school holiday program for young people aged 10 to 17 years.

We service the southside of Brisbane including Greenslopes, Holland Park, Mt Gravatt, Wishart, MacGregor, Sunnybank, and Salisbury. Ms Judy Spence, Minister for Police, Emergency Services and Sport and Member for Mt Gravatt is a member of the club and a regular visitor.
