About Redcliffe PCYC

Redcliffe PCYC has been operating on the Peninsula for over 42 years. The club started out small, in Anzac Avenue, Redcliffe, before moving to its current location in Klingner Road, Kippa Ring. Since then we've had three building extensions.

The club won the PCYC of the year for five years in a row between 2000 and 2004 and has maintained over 3200 members for several years. We also average over 100,000 attendances per year and provide a multitude of activities and programs under one roof. We have over 270 volunteers and have also developed a culture of volunteering with staff. Our volunteers and staff recognise the value of our service to the community and enjoy making such a contribution.

We provide a wide range of services (something for everyone from toddlers to adults), competitive pricing and customer service. Adults are able to use the facilities while children are also participating/learning in a safe and structured environment. We are also able to provide links between our after school care service and our activities. This means that children are picked up from school and cared for until they are scheduled to participate in their chosen activities, such as gymnastics, trampolining or soccer.

Furthermore we are able to provide peace of mind that children are in a safe environment with two police officers stationed at the centre. The PCYC is able to provide a service that is responsive to the local community but at the same time has the advantage of being supported in a state-wide organisation. We've also established links with other providers so as to work in partnership rather than in competition with them, e.g. Redcliffe Youth Space and Neighbourhood Centre.

Police-Citizens Youth Clubs, in partnership with the government, community, business and families, are about achieving excellence in youth development by encouraging participation in recreational, sporting, cultural and welfare programs.
