About the Whitsunday PCYC
The Whitsunday Police Citizens Youth Club opened in October 2002, and endeavours to provide the community, young and old, with a safe, friendly and affordable haven to relax and learn, play sport, keep fit and be creative through our art program.
We have recently been successful in obtaining a grant to fit out a weights gym, which will serve as an affordable alternative to the bigger gyms.
We have held numerous private functions for weddings, Christmas parties, birthday parties and anniversaries as well as cabarets, balls, art exhibitions, trade shows and sporting events all of which have helped to raise funds to provide our community with the services and activities needed.
We have hosted local, state and federal election polling booths for the past three years, cabinet meetings and many Whitsunday Shire Council functions.
We hope to start up our own local FM radio station in the near future. Whitsunday PCYC has over 1,000 members.
