Pulse

The "Pulse" youth space was launched in 1997 at Carindale as a crime prevention initiative of PCYC.

Most new and redeveloped Branches now incorporate a youth friendly entertainment space in the building design. Pulse spaces combine youth entertainment and unstructured activities in a purpose built facility, usually housed in a separate room adjoining the main supervised areas of a Branch. The space is specifically designed for attendance by young people, and offers a variety of social activities in a relaxed and safe environment.

Pulse spaces usually offer facilities including pool tables, Playstations and Xbox consoles, other games machines, and a canteen or café space where young people can hang out with friends, or simply relax. When a Pulse dance party, Band night, or Bluelight Disco is hosted at a branch, the Pulse space comes into its own as an area to mix with other young people away from the dance floor.

No two Pulse spaces are the same and you should contact your local Branch to find out just what is on offer when it comes to having a good time with your friends.
