Testimonials from some current SHAB members:
"I would recommend the SHAB Program to anyone. Since joining I have lost inches, kilos and my cholesterol levels have dropped. I have also benefited from social contact and generally feel healthier. It also provides the incentive to exercise regularly because I look forward to the daily routine." Joyce aged 74
"After attending gym for 12 months I feel a whole lot better in myself, and my endurance is very satisfactory for my age (83 almost)." Ken aged 82
"This program has helped me a great deal in allowing me to improve my health, mobility and fitness. This helps keep my heart problem at bay." Debra aged 53
"In retirement (first year), I find the friendship and Alan's encouragement very motivating for turning up regularly to a well equipped gym. I have never done gym work in my life before and was very apprehensive to become involved, but there was no need for me to worry. With everyone being of a similar age and older one loses those inhibitions. " Kathy aged 58
"The SHAB Program has helped me physically, emotionally and mentally. Having had a knee replacement, SHAB has improved my mobility and fitness. I look forward to my daily routine. Since starting SHAB my fitness has increased, my overall health has improved. My cholesterol has dropped; my depression has improved because of the social side. This program is certainly to be recommended to any person over 50 years of age." Jeanette aged 62
