Bicycle Safety Education
Encouraging your child to be active will set them on the right path for a healthy attitude in adulthood. A favourite pastime of Australian children is riding their bikes around the local neighbourhood.
The Bike Safety Education programs offered by several of our branches aims to make sure your child is aware of the risks involved in riding near roads so they can safely enjoy getting out on two wheels.

Boxing/'Boxercise'
Great as a fitness workout (and stress expending), boxercise combines cardio exercise with boxing technique. It's a great way to meet people and you're sure to break into a sweat!

Court Sports/Team Sports
Team sports are heaps of fun, and a great excuse to socialise and meet new people - and get fit at the same time! We have top quality indoor facilities, and many of our branches offer several team sports - for kids or adults, including basketball, netball, indoor soccer/futsal (a version of indoor soccer), badminton, and volleyball.

Gymnastics
Gymnastics is one of the most popular activities offered by PCYCs. Some branches operate gymnastics programs in partnership with Gymnastics Queensland. Check with you local branch for more information.

Martial Arts
One of the most common martial arts offered at PCYCs is Karate, but there are many other styles taught, including Aikido, Iaido, Tai Chi, Jujitsu, Judo, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu and Kendo. Not all of the martial arts classes are suitable for smaller children so check with your local branch first.

Something Different
Teens
Being unique and doing things that are outside the square can add a bit of excitement to life.
Beenleigh PCYC offers Cheerleading and Rock Wall Climbing; Redcliffe PCYC has a Scottish Pipe Band; Belly Dancing at Biloela PCYC; learn to stick fight (Kali-Escrima) responsibly at Deception Bay branch; hit the skate bowl at Mt Gravatt PCYC; sing your heart out at the Sunshine Coast PCYC recording studio.
All of our branches offer a great range of cultural, social and sports activities suitable for teenagers.
Adults
You might be surprised how many calories you can burn when Belly Dancing... you can try it at Biloela, Blackwater, Castle Hill, or Wynnum.
Is the family pet misbehaving? Caboolture PCYC hosts dog obedience classes. Or what about Model Aeroplane Flying at Cairns; Irish Dancing at Gladstone; Wrestling at Lang Park, Redcliffe, Cairns, or Gold Coast; Aqua Aerobics at Sunshine Coast - there is no end to the diversity of activities at PCYC!
