By making a donation to PCYC you will be assisting us to deliver cost effective programs and services to young people and families through our statewide network of 47 Branches. We will also be able to support disadvantaged and at risk young people by providing free membership and access to our activities and facilities for those less fortunate in the community.
Where we get our funding from
We are very fortunate in that the State Government through the Queensland Police Service provides funding to deploy over 60 full time Police Officers to manage and oversee the operations of the PCYC. Without that support, many of our Branches would not be able to operate in the community due to the costs associated with administering a Branch and continuing to provide a wide range of activities and services for young people and families.
We compete with all other community based organisations for grants and funding to upgrade our Branches and equipment. Our major source of funding is through the day to day operations of our Branches and a professional fundraising operation conducted by our State Office.
PCYC is dependant on and grateful for the continued support of its donors, who enable us to maintain and expand its programs throughout Queensland. PCYC is a registered charitable organisation and a deductible gift recipient. Every donation of $2 and over is acknowledged with an official receipt and is tax deductible.
What we will do with it
With your donation, you are helping to ensure we can deliver our programs and activities to thousands of young people statewide. You are also investing in our future by providing young people with an opportunity to grow in a safe, supervised, drug and alcohol free environment and to become productive members of the community down the track.
