2009 Under Privileged Children's Circus Spectacular
From September until December 2009, PCYC will be offering businesses the opportunity to sponsor children to attend our second Annual Children's Circus Spectacular which will be held at the Mount Gravatt Showgrounds in mid December this year. Sponsorship sales will be undertaken by Communitel Aust. Pty Ltd on behalf of PCYC and they will commence telemarketing operations in the south east corner of the State in early September.
PCYC expects to host thousands of disadvantaged Queensland children in December who don't get the opportunity to enjoy going to the circus because of financial hardship or other reasons including illness, or some form of physical disability at a particular time in their lives.
The fundraiser has been approved by the Queensland Office of Fair Trading with PCYC in addition to taking kids to the circus receiving 27% of the proceeds after expenses to provide opportunities for young people to take part in very affordable sporting and recreational activities, youth development and leadership programs, and drug and alcohol free entertainment options aimed at keeping kids off the street.
Sponsorships will be sold @ $60 per child with group sponsorships being encouraged to ensure as many kids as possible can attend within the limits of the big top to seat the young people attending.
