Brand new PCYC Fortitude Valley club opens!

PCYC Queensland is excited to welcome members to our brand new PCYC Fortitude Valley club, which opened in mid-October.

The multi-storey facility developed by Silverstone Developments, features a premier 24/7 gym, boxing studio and ring, basketball half court and multi-purpose rooms to host activities, events and more.

PCYC Queensland CEO Phil Schultz said the club will continue to play an important role in fostering the development of young people and the broader Fortitude Valley community.

“This new facility will allow us to expand our programs and services to support the community and will ensure PCYC Fortitude Valley remains an iconic part of the local landscape,” Mr Schultz said.

PCYC Fortitude Valley club manager Sergeant Rob Duffner who has been running the club for almost 17 years, is excited to see the facility transformed.

“The club caters for all ages and has a diverse membership culture offering unique youth and community programs, workshops, activities and more,” said Sergeant Duffner.

“Our foundation sport of boxing will continue to play a big part in the new club, and our new gym featuring state of the art equipment will also offer group fitness and functional fitness classes,” he said.

“PCYC Fortitude Valley has played an important role in the community for 55 years since opening in its original location in 1965, and we look forward to continuing and expanding that support in a fresh new facility.”
