Celebrating Queensland Seniors Week with PCYC Gladstone ‘Seniors by the Sea’
As part of 2019 Queensland Seniors Week being celebrated from 17-25 August, PCYC Gladstone is holding a FREE over 60s group fitness activity, ‘Seniors by the Sea’ on Friday, 23 August.
Come on down to the beachfront at Millenium Esplanade at Tannum Sands, Gladstone from 9.30am to take part in a fun strength and conditioning activity with PCYC Gladstone senior fitness instructor Tracey Moore, personal trainer Bec Frost, and other local fitness professionals.
Seniors by the Sea is open to seniors of all fitness levels and abilities and is perfect for first timers through to the ultra-fit. Join the group afterwards for brunch and a cuppa nearby!
Based on PCYC Gladstone’s Senior Fit classes run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the club’s 24/7 gym, the program encourages seniors to participate and remain active.
Designed specifically for adults aged 60 and over, Senior Fit classes are supported by qualified fitness professionals and combine functional strength and conditioning activities in a fun, social setting. With more than 40 regulars attending each class, PCYC Gladstone’s Senior Fit group often meet socially afterwards and get involved as a group in community events such as the Botanic to Bridge fun run.
PCYC Queensland operates 38 gym+fitness centres around the state, 27 of which are 24/7.
