Donna Corrie named ‘Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year’

PCYC Queensland is pleased to congratulate our Indigenous Programs Manager Donna Corrie on her wonderful achievement being named ‘Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year’ at the Cairns Business Women’s Club (CBWC) Business Woman of the Year 2019 Awards.

Following an intensive selection, application and interview process, Donna was proud to receive the award at the Gala Awards Dinner on 4 May at the Cairns Convention Centre.

“As I stepped up to receive my aw  ard at the gala event, I proudly acknowledged my role with PCYC Queensland and what a pleasure it is working with a team of professionals to provide a brighter future for our young people,” said Donna.

Also selected as a finalist for the Cairns Business Excellence Awards (BEX), as well as being nominated for the NAIDOC Person of the Year Award, Donna is passionate about improving the lives of Indigenous people in their communities and beyond, and promoting Indigenous issues in the wider community and is an inspiration to us all.

“I am truly humbled by these achievements,” said Donna.
