What is Get Set for Work?

Get Set for Work (GSFW) is a 10 week program that’s part of Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) initiative. With Get Set for Work, young people aged 15 to 19 can gain the skills, qualifications, confidence, and support needed to find a job. PCYC Queensland is a proud provider of the program. Who does the program support?

The best way to find out if Get Set for Work is for you is to get in touch with the SQW team.

The program might be for you if you are:

  • 15-19 years old
  • Not in school OR in school but at risk of dropping out or disengaging
  • A Queensland resident

What does Get Set for Work offer?

Get Set for Work provides training, certification and support with finding a job. As a participant of the PCYC Queensland offered program, you will have the chance to grow your skills, confidence and community leading to an increased capacity to find work. Specifically, the program offers:

  • Work experience
  • Driving lessons
  • Help to find work and support for three months after you start
  • Interview clothes
  • Fun team-building activities
  • Opportunities to make new friends
  • Food provided daily!
