Meet our OSHC State Educational Leader
PCYC Queensland State Educational Leader, Michelle McEwan, has over 20 years’ experience working with school aged children and developing industry resources.
“I have held a number of roles throughout my 20-year career working with school age children, including OSHC Service Coordinator, Project Manager for Queensland Children’s Activities Network developing industry resources and facilitating training, and as a trainer working with childcare students,” said Michelle.
“I joined the PCYC Queensland OSHC team in 2016 and was pleased to be appointed as the OSHC State Educational Leader in 2018.”
The important State Educational Leader role involves training and upskilling hundreds of OSHC Educators across the state, as well as providing specialist advice and support around professional practices to increase the quality of care for thousands of children attending more than 100 PCYC Queensland OSHC services.
“I am passionate about my role providing valuable resources to support the team through in-depth professional development training programs and delivering face-to-face training and mentoring.”
“I believe that for quality care to be provided, we must ensure we have highly skilled, knowledgeable and engaged educators working with children.”
