Meet our Trainer of the Month: Dan Stone from PCYC Nerang
When did you join the PCYC Nerang team?
I joined the team in June 2021.
Why did you become a trainer?
I became a Trainer out of pure passion and love for health and fitness. I enjoy helping people reach their goals and find it very rewarding. I love the gym environment and the positive energy I can help create and share. If you love what you do and you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.
What is your favourite moment in fitness or sport?
My favourite moment in sport is the rugby league season and attending the Gold Coast Titans home games.
Right up there would have to be when I coached The Niuean 18s League side, in the Queensland Pacific Island Cultural Carnival, in 2018 and took it out. The bonds and relationships formed are priceless.
What are you training for personally at the moment?
I am currently training to compete in The NABBA QLD State Champs Southern Hemisphere Qualifier for Bodybuilding. I’m very excited as it’s here on the Gold Coast, on May 7th and I will have all my family and friends there to cheer me on.
What is one word that describes you?
Resilient – resilient people tap into their strengths and support systems to overcome challenges. Resilience is the ability to withstand adversity.
