PCYC Logan Rhythmic Gymnasts celebrate outstanding results

PCYC Logan Rhythmic Gymnasts celebrate their outstanding results at the recent Rhythmic Gymnastics Senior Queensland Cup and Multiples Challenge 2 held on the 17-18 April 2021.

PCYC Logan Gymnastics Head Coach Kerrie Mancini, is incredibly proud of the dedication and achievements of all 34 rhythmic gymnasts competing on the day.

“I am so proud of all the girls, who performed incredibly well,” said Kerrie.

“The event was the high-performance round of the 2021 Queensland Cup and the second round of multiples challenge, so the competition was high.”

“I am delighted that in the International Groups category our Mini Group, Pre-Junior Group and Junior Groups all placed first in the all-around (AA).”

“In the International Individuals category, nine girls achieved placements including Ruby Chen, Kyra Henderson, Enming Pan, Andrea Wang, Erica Santana, Kathy Chen, Mia Strachan, Lucy Auton and Melisa Lawrie.”

“In the Multiples Challenge, we also achieved wonderful results in the Ball Trio, Hoop Group and Hoop Trio categories.”

“This is such a pleasing result for our Rhythmic Gymnastics program, which consistently produces State and National Champions.”

Offering one of the largest gymnastics programs in South East Queensland, PCYC Logan offers Rhythmic, Recreational and Under 5s Gymnastics programs.

Excitingly, the brand new PCYC Logan facility set to open in June 2021 at Cronulla Park in Slacks Creek will house the largest purpose-built gymnastics hall in Logan.

“PCYC Queensland is the largest provider of gymnastics in the state, and it is exciting to be part of the growth of this amazing sport,” said Kerrie.

“I have been working, competing and coaching in this sport for over 40 years, and it is so rewarding to work with young people from a large variety of backgrounds, to make a positive difference and help them reach their goals.”

“PCYC Logan offers fantastic gymnastics pathways for gymnasts of all levels and abilities, and I am excited to see all our programs move under the one roof in the new facility.”
