PCYC Queensland announces PCYC Fernvale to open in October

PCYC Queensland is pleased to announce the addition of PCYC Fernvale as the organisation’s newest club, scheduled to open in October 2019 following renovations and new equipment installations.

Located at the Fernvale Indoor Sports Centre in the Somerset region, PCYC Queensland has been appointed by Somerset Regional Council to manage the facility for the next five years, forming part of the organisation’s state-wide footprint of 56 clubs providing sporting and recreational services as well as youth programs and facilities for all ages.

PCYC Queensland Chief Executive Officer, Phil Schultz, is excited to offer the organisation’s services to the rapidly developing Fernvale community.

“PCYC Fernvale will offer a state-of-the-art fully air-conditioned 24/7 Gym+Fitness centre, exciting new gymnastics program, and a number of PCYC Queensland’s crucial youth development programs and activities,” said Mr Schultz.

“We will also continue to offer key sports including indoor cricket and netball, futsal, and additional holiday programs,” he said.

Somerset Mayor Graeme Lehmann said council was proud to welcome the PCYC Queensland brand to the region.

“PCYC Queensland is a highly respected organisation and PCYC Fernvale will become a great asset for our community,” Cr Lehmann said.

“The enhanced facilities and around-the-clock gym access will meet community expectations while building on council’s commitment to maintaining a healthy and active Somerset.”
