PCYC Queensland embarks on Disability Action Plan journey

At PCYC Queensland we are embarking on a new journey to become a more inclusive provider of activities and services for all people with a disability. For this endeavour to be implemented effectively, PCYC Queensland will be introducing a Disability Action Plan which seeks to identify and actively reduce barriers of participation for people with a disability.

Our Disability Action Plan will focus on five core areas, including:

  • Equitable access to premises;
  • Equitable opportunities for participation and access to information, activities and services;
  • Staff training advice and support;
  • Equitable employment practices; and
  • Promotion of positive community attitudes and advocacy for people with a disability.

We need your feedback!

We are seeking your feedback and input into creating our Disability Action Plan, and encourage all members of the community to participate in our online survey to assist us in creating the most effective and successful disability action plan available.

All responses from the surveys will remain anonymous, and the survey will be available till next Friday, 3 May. To complete the survey, please click here

To further the success of this journey, Inclusive Access Solutions will be assisting PCYC Queensland by collating the feedback and responses given by preparing a report that will development specific strategies and actions for a more inclusive provision of activities and services.

PCYC Queensland strives to create a disability action plan that allows individuals who have a disability to prosper and reach their goals and aspirations as equal citizens, creating a more inclusive provision of activities and facilities. Please join us on our journey of creating an effective disability action plan for all!
