Sport for positive choice making an impact in Logan

If you were to head into your local PCYC Queensland club on a Saturday morning or a weekday afternoon, chances are you would catch a glimpse at one of our gymnastics classes. Our competitive and recreational gymnastics programs are a key PCYC club activity, with thousands of individuals getting involved across Queensland.

PCYC Queensland wanted to congratulate PCYC Logan City, whose Senior International Rhythmic Gymnastics team were named in the National Gymnastics squad and invited to compete at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup and World Championships.  2018 has been an exciting year for our PCYC Logan City’s gymnastics team, with many achievements across the board. Earlier this year, the Senior International Rhythmic Gymnastics Group performed at the 2018 Guadalajara World Challenge Cup in Spain, where they took to the mat representing Australia. This routine was in preparation for the 2018 World Championships and also, the 2020 Olympics!

These outstanding performances would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our PCYC Queensland coaches. We would like to extend a special mention to our Logan Rhythmic Gymnastics Head Coach, who was named the Australian Levels Coach of the Year for 2017! Congratulations Kerrie on a well-deserved award.
