Staff spotlight: Mia from PCYC Ashmore

Everyone at PCYC Ashmore knows Mia, maybe not by face but definitely by voice! She is our loud, fun loving Member Services Officer who is also willing to help.

When did you join the team at PCYC Ashmore?

I started working at PCYC Ashmore in October 2022, so coming onto my second year here.

Why did you decide to become a trainer?

I became a trainer because I have always been so fascinated with the anatomy and biomechanics of the human body. I wanted to be able to share my knowledge with other people and help them reach their fitness goals.

What are you training for personally now?

I am not training for anything in particular. I train because I love moving my body, and I train to keep fit and healthy.

What is your personal favourite moment in your fitness journey with PCYC Queensland?

One of my favourite moments in my PCYC journey is when I took my second Activ8 Fit & 50 class. There were about 20 members and I lined them up and remembered all of their names in one hit!
