Gymnastics/KinderGym

Recreational Gymnastics

Our recreational program is for children from the age of 4 years (Preppies). It provides a systematic and progressive introduction to the basics of gymnastics in a fun, friendly environment. The   program includes activities of swing, jumping, hopping, balancing, hanging, stretching, landing, rolling, bouncing and climbing and helps develop strength, flexibility, balance, posture and co-ordination. The children will also learn to follow instructions in a group, interact socially and make new friends in the gym. Your child will learn to use the balance beam, rings, uneven bars, climbing rope, crash mats, mini tramps, beatboards and will be introduced to other equipment as the year   progresses. In this stage of development, we place a large focus on having fun whilst learning and   improving basic gymnastics ability.

 

KinderGym

KinderGym is a multi-movement based program designed specifically for children aged under 4 years and their caregivers. The program will assist your child develop and grow their cognitive, gross and fine motor skills, spacial awareness at their own pace under the guidance of our qualified coaches    all while having fun.  Classes start from the age of 3 months old.

 

Competitive Gymnastics (WAG and MAG)

Our competitive program provides an opportunity for those children with the competitive drive and physical potential to take their gymnastics training one step further and enter the competitive arena. Competitive training is not for everyone who walks through the gym doors, however, those with the drive and potential are catered for with longer training hours and expert competitive coaching. Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) and Men’s Artistic Gymnastics is the perfect sport to teach your daughter or son co-ordination & confidence, develop creativity and contribute to their general health and fitness.

 

Trampolining

Trampoline Sports is a level-based program for boys and girls, starting with basic skills and safety awareness, and progressing through to high-level skills utilizing all three trampoline sport apparatus – trampoline, double-mini trampoline and tumbling.

Martial Arts

Karate

Bundaberg Karate Club Ryobu-Kai is dedicated to providing enjoyable and relevant traditional, sports and self-defence Karate. Bundaberg Ryobu-Kai Karate is a Branch of Japan Karate-Do Ryobu-Kai Australia, we train in the art of Shindo Jinen Ryu. We are the only Bundaberg Karate Club affiliated with the Queensland Karate Association(QKA) and with the Australian Karate Federation (AKF), this gives our club the unique opportunity to progress in a competitive all the way through to World Karate Federation (WKF) Events.

Friendship Club (Over 60's)

The PCYC Friendship Club is a seniors group who meet every Tuesday and Saturday morning from 9am-12pm. Members enjoy various activities together such as indoor bowls, card games and board games. You can join the group for as little as $6 (annual fee) and an entry of $3 per visit. Each meeting includes a free tea or coffee and a biscuit.

Social Sports

PCYC Bundaberg offers a range of different social sport competitions from Basketball, Volleyball, Netball, Futsal and Badminton.

Indigenous sport and recreation

Mobfit

A variety of different exercise programs like Boxing, body weights, yoga, HIIT and many more. ATSI community members are invited to join 2x 1.5 hours fitness class per week which is run facilitated ]and by our club’s group fitness coach.

Starting  term 4 from Monday to Friday 4:30-6:00 pm

Participants:

Drumbeat

The drumbeat program is a evidence based, psycho-educational program built on the core principles of social and emotional learning as developed by the Collaborative Advance Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL).

Drumbeat stands for Discovering Relationships Using Music, Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes and Thoughts, using music to engage and transfer social learning by building resilience through rhytm.

ATSI community members are invited to join 1x 1.5 hour session per week.

 

Elders walking program

Commencing Monday 21st of September and continuing every Monday and Friday from 9:00 am till 12:00 pm.

where: Location will change each week between either The Botanical gardens or Bargara beach.

what: PCYC presents a morning outdoors full of light fitness, fun, a yarn, and a nice morning tea.

Who: ATSI community members 40 years of age and older.
