Braking the Cycle
PCYC Braking the Cycle is a volunteer driver mentor program designed to support learner drivers without access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours. The aim of the program is to provide young people with increased employment opportunities, community connection and driver education.
Participants are matched with a mentor who will provide encouragement and help young people improve their self-esteem and develop positive road safety attitudes. To be eligible to join Braking the Cycle, participants must have a QLD Learners Licence and 10 logbook hours.
Community Work Skills
Community Work Skills offers assistance to disadvantaged Queenslanders to gain nationally recognised skills and qualifications up to a certificate III level through nationally recognised training.
This program is a great opportunity for job seekers needing an extra qualification.
