Gymnastics is a sport where children progress to their own personal potential & ability. Our gymnastics program provides a seamless PATHWAY of skill learning and progressive skill STAGES for our students. Gymnasts are able to move through our GYM STAGES program at their own pace and are regularly motivated to reach for new levels of skill and experienceWhen children achieve certain skills, the coaches will then challenge them with additional skills until they are ready to progress.

During class children will learn the fundamental skills on acrobatics, vaulting, climbing, swinging, balance and gymnastic conditioning. The Club’s PATHWAYS program philosophy is fun, fitness, friendship and fundamentals in movement and spatial awareness.

Our PATHWAYS gymnastics program involves payment of a Term Fee however, parents can first book their child in for a trial class with the 3 mentioned payments processed after the trial should the child wish to continue.

Squad Gymnastics Program

We offer both Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and Men’s Artistic Gymnastics and follow the Australian National Levels Program (ALP) from levels 1- 10.  Within this program, expectations are placed on the gymnast to work hard and improve their physical abilities and skills. Positions within the squad competitive team are offered on the understanding that the gymnast aspires to high levels of performance and intends to fully meet the training and competition requirements of that team. Our National Competitive Squads have an expectation that the gymnasts within them will compete externally representing the club. Those with the level of skill required for Squad gymnastics however unsure as to their desire to compete are recommended for one of our Semi-Competitive Squad classes in which external competitions are optional.

Gymnasts can expect the dedication of their coach to the task of developing their gymnastic ability to their maximum potential. The programs put in place will give your child the best chance to maximise their individual potential & provide future life skills, if correctly followed with determination, effort and persistence.   Women’s Artistic Gymnastics is a creative blend of daring and control; powerful yet refined, elegant yet strong. Mastery on the four apparatus requires skills that flip, balance, swing and soar. Men’s Artistic Gymnastics channels masculine energy to develop power, strength and control. Mastery of the six apparatus requires the skilful combination of flips, balance, stretch, spin and landings.   It is the perfect sport for focus and self-discipline.

Classes run during the Public-School Term with our Squad Gymnasts training a minimum of 2hrs a week up to 16hrs a week depending upon their Level.

Our Squad gymnastics involves payment of a Term Fee and Squad Levy.

Additional costs include competition fees, compulsory competition and training leotards/uniforms and holiday training sessions which are highly recommended for those in our National Competitive Squads.

Our Squad Gymnastics classes can not be booked into, current PCYC Sandgate gymnasts are informed of when they are ready to move up by our coaching staff. If your child is looking to transfer to our Squad Gymnastics program from another club an assessment is required to ensure that your child is then offered a squad class that suits their level. To arrange an assessment please contact our Head Coach Paula via [email protected].

Held in a safe and welcoming space where active parental participation is key, Little n Active classes are designed to promote children’s curiosity, encourage problem solving, increase comprehension and develop social skills.

Little n Active classes cater for different ages and developmental stages, and can be modified to match children’s developmental needs. Each progressive lesson provides children with activities to build fundamental movement and improve their physical ability, using engaging themed environments that lend themselves to movement.
