About the Gym: PCYC Zillmere has a fully equipped and air conditioned gym facility for the community who are looking to get fit and strong.

Gymnasium facilities: Treadmills, cross trainers, rowers, boxing bag, kettle bells, free weights, yoga balls, benches (incline/decline), weightlifting platforms and a broad range of resistance machines

Additional information: Minimum age: 12 years

12 years-17 years require gym induction before gym usage.

12-15years require parent/guardian supervision while in gym.

16-17years able to use the gym without supervision if parent/guardian consent is given.

Personal Training

At PCYC  Zillmere we have qualified Personal Trainers that can assist you with your health and fitness goals.

PCYC Zillmere offer a variety of different personal training sessions for all ages and value for money packs with something to suit everyone.

If you are new to training, or our gym, we offer a Basic Program or a Personal Program to help start your fitness journey. This is a great way to kick start your fitness regime, meet your trainer and get a taste of our fantastic personal training sessions.

 

Group Strength Training for Seniors

This class takes place in the gym using gym equipment.

It is a small group class under the supervision of specialised exercise trainer Bridget Cook.

Each member gets their own personalised program and progresses at their own rate.

Whether you are working on being able to stand unassisted or whether your goal is to improve your golf game or cycling times, this program is designed to increase your strength.

The class gives you a group of people to work out with and you know you are safe and making the most of your workout.

Circuit Workout

A fun low impact Circuit class with a wide variety of different activities including cardio, strength training and flexibility.

Suitable for people with medium Fitness. Different levels to suit different levels of Fitness.

Blitz HIIT

A fast-paced, high impact, high cardio session, for people who like to challenge their Fitness.

With a wide variety of different exercises and activities each week. Using the highly effective interval training system to increase Fitness rapidly.

Great for toning and strengthening.

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. It is ideal for anyone wanting a fun, simple and low impact fitness class.

Classes  aimed  at improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination and flexibility.

Low impact Zumba, where you can shake it at your own pace. Zumba Gold class is suitable to all age groups. Also incorporate some Gold Toning (with Zumba Toning sticks).

Zumba

Zumba is designed to bring people together. It mixes low intensity and high intensity moves for a calorie-burning dance fitness party. A total workout for all ages and fitness levels.

Gentle Exercise

A wonderful group of lovely ladies and that work together to increase all the functional movements that we need to stay strong and independent.

Different levels so that you can go at your own pace. Low impact and mildly but effectively challenging.

Always ready for a laugh through the serious business of keeping fit and healthy.

Some seated exercises but mainly standing and moving this members of this exercise class have improved so that it could now be called the ” not so gentle exercise class”

Yoga

Specialising in Hatha Yoga, this style of yoga is a great introduction to yoga. It provides an opportunity to stretch, unwind, and release tension. Yoga is also a great way to stay fit and encourage healthy mind-body connection.

Feel the great  benefits and calmness of yoga’s postures, breathing, stretching and of course, relaxation.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is practised to promote health, improve concentration and overall well-being.  The health benefits of this traditional Chinese exercise include harmony of body and mind, improved mobility, suppleness and mental alertness.  Tai Chi suitable for all ages and levels of physical fitness.
