Join us for a day filled with exhilarating footy action, community spirit, and cultural celebration.

Bunburra is the Yugambeh word for ‘beach’. This exciting event provides young boys and girls aged 14-17 from First Nations communities an incredible opportunity to showcase their skills and participate in a spirited competition on the beautiful Gold Coast on Saturday 15 June.

Bringing together players from communities from the far north of our beautiful state and through to the south-east, including: Napranum, Aurukun, Yarrabah, Palm Island, Burdekin, Charters Towers, Rockhampton, Woorabinda, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Crestmead.

Bunburra fosters sporting skills and leadership qualities and rewards motivated young people selected to play because of ongoing achievements throughout the year. It also provides the opportunity for young people to meet others keen to kick goals in a context that supports pride, identity and achievement.
