Safer Communities

Delivered in partnership with the Australian Government, the Safer Communities program deploys crime prevention and community engagement programs across 13 high priority Queensland communities from Mornington Island and Aurukun, to Logan, Inala and Toowoomba.

PCYC Queensland staff delivering the Safer Communities program work extensively with local police and key stakeholders in each community to implement activities that build on identified community issues, as PCYC Queensland programs Deep Blue Line, Team Up, RUBY, Girls United, DRUMBEAT and Love Bites, as well as outreach sport and cultural activities and late-night basketball drop ins.
