The right pair of goggles can make swimming safer, more comfortable and more enjoyable.
Choosing Goggles
Select goggles suited to your swimming activity:
- Learn to Swim
- Fitness Swimming
- Squad Training
- Open Water
Test the fit before purchasing:
- Press the goggles onto the eye sockets without using the strap.
- If they stay in place for a second or two, they’re likely a good fit.
Choose the right lens:
- Clear lenses for indoor pools
- Tinted or mirrored lenses for outdoor swimming
Fitting Goggles
- Place goggles comfortably around the eye sockets.
- Adjust the nose bridge if required.
- Position the strap around the back of the head.
- Tighten only enough to prevent leaks.
Good Fit Checklist
✔ No leaks
✔ Comfortable around the eyes
✔ Clear vision
✔ Stays in place while swimming
Pro Tip: If goggles need to be tightened excessively to stop leaks, they are probably the wrong size or shape.

- Rinse with fresh cold water after each use.
- Store in a protective case.
- Avoid wiping the inside of the lenses.
