Due to the enforced closures of indoor sporting venues and gyms, a number of PCYC Queensland activities have temporarily been suspended, except for the provision of essential services. All other programs, fitness classes, gyms and activities have been suspended until further notice. Police-Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) Burdekin opened in April 2011 and under the direction of Branch Manager Andrew Sherrington has gone from strength to strength. A hub centre designed and built to centralise and integrate youth services, our club services the Burdekin region, which includes Ayr, Home Hill, Brandon, Clare and also Giru.
Our focus is youth at risk, crime prevention programs, such as Youth Management Team (YMT), and many other youth activities. PCYC Burdekin also offers boxing, dancing, pilates and over 55’s ‘Move for Life’.
PCYC Burdekin houses a number of office tenants. servicing the Burdekin community with essential services such as Steps Employment, Aspire program and many more.
We aim for our programs to be dynamic, fun and affordable. The PCYC staff provides quality care and are committed to ongoing improvement.
