About PCYC Queensland

Police-Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) Queensland is an award-winning charity providing youth and community programs, services and facilities.

About Us

PCYC Queensland builds safer, healthier communities through youth development.

We deliver programs and services for young people which focus on raising their gaze, improving wellbeing, promoting leadership, and celebrating who they are while encouraging them to strive for their full potential.

When our young people thrive, so do our communities.

Everything we do across our youth programs is driven by our key pillars: youth development, crime prevention and community engagement. While our core programs share the same philosophies, we operate across a diverse range of socio-economic environments, and tailor the way we deliver programs and activities based on the needs of each community.

We’re also one of Queensland’s largest providers of sport and recreation activities through our Gym+Fitness centres and clubs, which offer activities ranging from Gymnastics, Boxing, and Little n Active for our under-fives.

Additionally, PCYC Queensland is one of the state’s largest providers of outside school hours care. Our Fun Squads have almost 100 services, where a child-centred approach and highly experienced educators deliver a program that is both Seriously Fun and focusses on wellbeing, resilience, leadership and confidence.

Mission and Vision

Our vision: Building safer, healthier communities through youth development.

Our mission: PCYC Queensland, in partnership with the QPS, provides young people with an environment that supports individual development, encourages community connection, and celebrates diversity. Our services and programs aim to develop and support, as well as challenge and inspire and are designed to meet the unique needs of communities right across Queensland. Each day our staff, volunteers and QPS officers work with our members to help them reach their potential and make positive life choices. Together, we are building safer, healthier communities through youth development.

QPS and PCYC Queensland

PCYC Queensland has proudly partnered with the Queensland Police Service (QPS) for more than 75 years.

Our partnership with QPS helps enhance our ability to connect with youth, families, First Nations communities and anyone who engages with their local PCYC Queensland club.

It also helps foster positive relationships between QPS and young Queenslanders. Each club has a QPS Youth and Community Program Manager (YCPM), who is crucial to the delivery of our core youth programs:

  • After Dark
  • Drop In
  • Rise Up Be Yourself (RUBY)
  • Braking the Cycle (BTC)
  • Team Up
  • Youth Leadership Team
  • Cadet Club
  • Club and Culture

In 2019, we signed a Deed of Agreement to formally recognise the history of our partnership and its future of meeting youth and community needs.
