Why are we asking young people for their feedback?

At PCYC Queensland, we are committed to delivering the best possible programs and services to support young people and their families. A key part of this commitment is regularly evaluating our work to ensure that what we offer is effective, meaningful, and responsive to the needs of those we serve.

The Purpose of the Questions

From time to time, we invite young people participating in our programs to complete a very short survey. This process only takes a few minutes and gives them the opportunity to share their experiences directly with us. Their feedback helps us understand what is working well, and where we can make improvements to strengthen the support we provide.

How the Information Is Used

The responses collected are used only for evaluation and service improvement. We do not collect identifying details such as names or addresses, and participation is always voluntary. This means young people can choose to skip any question they do not wish to answer or stop the survey at any time. If your young person is happy to provide answers, we will remind them before even starting, and throughout, that they can stop at any point in time. Additionally, each question asked allows for the young person to respond with ‘prefer not to answer’.

By listening to young people’s voices, we are able to:

  • Improve the quality and effectiveness of our programs
  • Ensure services remain relevant and supportive
  • Create better outcomes for young people and families in the community

Valuing Your Time and Trust

We recognise that your time, and your young person’s time, is valuable. Every response makes a difference. By sharing their perspective, young people play an active role in shaping the programs designed to support them and their peers.

We are grateful for your trust in us and for allowing us the opportunity to hear directly from young people about how we can continue to grow and improve our services.

Below are the questions that we will be asking young people. If you do not wish your young person to participate, please let your young person know so they can share that at the program.

If you have any concerns, please reach out to your local club.
