PCYC Queensland charity golf day

PCYC Queensland recently held our annual corporate charity golf day on Friday, 6 September at the wonderful McLeod Country Golf Club in Mount Ommaney.

The spectacular day on the greens brought together 15 corporate teams for all the fun filled action, including teams from 1ICT, CommBank, GJI Corporate Services, Nous Group, QikKids, Red Finance, Remondis and Schweppes.

PCYC Queensland Chief Executive Officer Phil Schulz again thanked all involved in another successful golf day, acknowledging major sponsors Sci-Fleet Toyota and One Contact, and numerous companies for providing a range of money can’t buy prizes from Anne Higgs Photography, Australia Zoo, Blast Aqua Park Coolum, Blue Room Cinebar, Breakfast Creek Hotel, Brisbane Bullets, Brisbane Racing Club, Broncos, Circa, Colourwise, Deep Grey Photography, Free-2-Travel, Ginger Factory, Grahzier, Greenhouse the Bathhouse, Hanworth House, Ibis Styles, Iceworld Olympic Rinks, La Boite, Lamborghini Joy Ride, Merlo Coffee, Mirimar Cruises, Palace Cinemas, Q1 Resort, Queensland Reds, Ramada Hotel, Riverlife, Sit Down Comedy Club, Timezone, Tivoli, Urban Extreme, Village Roadshow, Wheel of Brisbane and XXXX Brewery.

Special mentions go to Queensland Police Service Sergeant Julie Ferguson for running the ‘speed gun’ test, and to our partners from Pulse Travel who made sure everyone had the most memorable shot of the day, and Blind Golfer Glenn Niciejewski, our resident ‘Play the Pro’ champion.

The day included key activations showcasing a number of the key programs that PCYC Queensland offers including Braking The Cycle, Indigenous Programs and Emergency Services Cadets.

As a major charity fundraiser for PCYC Queensland’s youth development and crime prevention programs, we appreciate the corporate support we received. Plans for the 2020 Charity Golf Day are already in motion and anyone interested in being part of the day is invited to contact us.
