Boxing

Pee Wee Boxing (5–12 years old)
Our Pee Wee Boxing program introduces kids to the fundamentals of boxing in a fun, safe, and structured environment. We focus on building coordination, fitness, discipline, and confidence through basic boxing skills, drills, and games. Perfect for young beginners looking to stay active, build confidence, and develop healthy habits.

Boxing (12+)
Our Boxing program for 12 years and older teaches the foundations of real boxing technique. Classes cover footwork, defence, combinations, fitness conditioning, and ring awareness. Whether you’re new to boxing or looking to sharpen your skills, this program builds discipline, strength, and resilience in a supportive environment.

Boxing Competitive (10+)
Our Competitive Boxing program is designed for boxers ready to step into the ring. This class focuses on advanced technique, sparring, technical and tactical strategy, and conditioning to prepare athletes for competition. Boxers will train with intensity, discipline, and respect under the guidance of experienced coaches, aiming for success in amateur tournaments.

Judo

Judo Pee Wee
Our Judo Pee Wee program introduces children to the basics of Judo through fun, safe, and engaging activities. Kids will learn balance, coordination, basic falls, and beginner throws while developing confidence, discipline, and respect for others. A perfect start to a lifetime of martial arts.

Judo Junior
Our Judo Junior program builds on foundational skills with a focus on technique, fitness, and tactical development. Students will practice throws, holds, and safe falling techniques, while learning respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Suitable for all levels, from beginners to those working toward competition.

Judo Senior
Our Judo Senior program is designed for teens and adults aiming to master Judo technique and strategy. Classes cover advanced throws, groundwork, submissions, and competition preparation, while improving fitness, mental toughness, and discipline. Whether training for personal growth or competition, this program challenges and elevates every participant.

Ju Jitsu

Ju Jitsu Pee Wee
Our Ju Jitsu Pee Wee program introduces young children to the fundamentals of self-defence in a fun and supportive environment. Kids will learn basic grips, positions, escapes, and balance skills while building confidence, coordination, and respect for others through playful, structured drills.

Ju Jitsu Junior
Our Ju Jitsu Junior program develops core grappling skills, self-defence techniques, and tactical awareness. Students will learn takedowns, control positions, and submissions in a safe, progressive environment. Focus is placed on technical development, fitness, discipline, and building resilience both on and off the mats.

Ju Jitsu Senior
Our Ju Jitsu Senior program is built for teens and adults aiming to master the art of grappling and self-defence. Classes cover takedowns, positional control, submissions, escapes, and competition strategies. Suitable for beginners through to advanced practitioners, this program pushes fitness, technique, and mental sharpness to the next level.

Karate Pee Wee
Our Karate Pee Wee program introduces young children to the basics of karate in a fun and structured way. Kids will learn fundamental stances, strikes, blocks, and movement while developing focus, discipline, coordination, and confidence in a supportive environment.

Karate Junior
Our Karate Junior program builds strong foundations in traditional karate technique and philosophy. Students will advance their skills in striking, blocking, forms (kata), and controlled sparring, while improving fitness, discipline, and self-confidence. Perfect for beginners and intermediate students ready to level up their training.

Karate Senior
Our Karate Senior program is designed for teens and adults who want to master the art of karate. Classes focus on advanced techniques, kata, self-defence applications, and controlled sparring, while building strength, fitness, resilience, and mental focus. Suitable for all levels, from new students to experienced martial artists.

Wrestling

Wrestling Pee Wee
Our Wrestling Pee Wee program introduces young athletes to the basics of wrestling through fun, age-appropriate drills. Kids will develop coordination, balance, strength, and confidence while learning fundamental positions, takedowns, and body control in a safe and supportive environment.

Wrestling Junior
Our Wrestling Junior program focuses on building solid technical foundations in wrestling. Students will learn takedowns, escapes, reversals, and basic mat control while improving strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Perfect for beginners and developing wrestlers preparing for competition or simply wanting to challenge themselves.

Wrestling Senior
Our Wrestling Senior program is designed for teens and adults who want to take their wrestling to the next level. Classes focus on advanced technique, strategy, takedowns, ground control, and conditioning, preparing athletes for competition or serious skill development. All levels welcome, from beginners to experienced wrestlers.

Kickboxing

Kickboxing Pee Wee
Our Kickboxing Pee Wee program introduces young kids to the basics of kickboxing in a fun, energetic environment. Students will learn basic punches, kicks, footwork, and defensive skills while building confidence, coordination, fitness, and discipline through playful, structured training.

Kickboxing Junior
Our Kickboxing Junior program focuses on developing strong kickboxing fundamentals, including combinations, movement, defence, and conditioning. Students will build strength, fitness, and technique while learning discipline, respect, and self-confidence. Perfect for beginners and those ready to sharpen their skills.

Kickboxing Senior
Our Kickboxing Senior program is designed for teens and adults who want to develop real kickboxing skills. Classes cover striking combinations, footwork, defence, pad work, fitness conditioning, and sparring preparation. Suitable for all levels, from first timers to those aiming for high-level technical development or competition.

Pickleball

Do you know Pickleball is one of the world’s fastest growing games! Pickleball is great for all ages and abilities. If you’ve played tennis, squash, badminton or table tennis, you may even have a little head start. Improve your hand eye coordination, keep fit and meet friends in our welcoming, indoor facilities.

Basketball

PCYC Queensland has established a large & successful basketball program open to beginners, intermediate and advanced players. Teams are available from four years of age, right through to senior men’s & women’s leagues.

Our large basketball programs are affiliated with Basketball Queensland, offering developmental pathways for our members who want to progress their game to the next level- opportunities are offered to referees and coaches too. For those considering becoming part of our PCYC Queensland basketball association, you will find it an easy experience to quickly become a valued team-mate and connect with others who are interested in our friendly team sports.

Netball

Netball is a great opportunity for fun, fitness and making friends. This team sport is a challenging game with fast-paced action, ball skills and a passionate team environment. Our PCYC Queensland clubs offer a range of different team options with junior, adult and mixed social competitions. The netball season may vary between clubs with summer and winter competitions options available.

Soccer/Futsal

PCYC Queensland offers a range of soccer competitions for members, including both outdoor and indoor (Futsal) teams. The team environment is a great chance to make friends, improve your fitness and get active.

Our soccer programs help to create healthy competition between players and establish a passionate attitude and love of the sport. Whether you are a series soccer player, or just wanting to get involved in a fun team sport, PCYC Queensland has a variety of team options available.

Squash

Squash is a fast-paced indoor racquet sport played by two players. The game demands quick reflexes, agility, and strategic thinking, making it an excellent full-body workout that boosts cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and endurance.

Squash is easy to learn, fun to play, and suitable for all fitness levels, which makes it a popular choice for both casual and competitive players.

Other Sports

QPS Recruit Entry Fitness Assessment

If you are invited to participate in QPS Recruit Entry Fitness Assessment, you will be required to undertake a series of assessments at a Queensland Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC); PCYC equivalent in another state or territory; or an accredited personal trainer, to further assess your merit for appointment.

You will be provided with more information on the tests and what you need to bring on the day before attending QPS Recruit Entry Fitness Assessment, which will take up to two hours to complete.

You will not be permitted to undertake the QPS Recruit Entry Fitness Assessment unless you present photographic identification on the day, and produce your GP signed Certificate of Indemnity and Fitness Form at the time of your assessment.
