Club Code of Conduct: Club Code of Conduct

This Club Code of Conduct applies to all persons using any facilities or services of PCYC Queensland, including Members, and parents/carers of young people including Outside School Hours Care.

By entering or using any services or facilities of PCYC Queensland, each person agrees they will abide by:

  • Club Code of Conduct
  • All Rules of Use, and Conditions of Entry displayed.
  • Terms and conditions specific to activities in which they, or any young people they care for, participate.
  • Safety and Directional Signage

In addition, Club Members are required to abide by the Club Members Agreement Terms & Conditions.

PCYC Queensland may change, vary, or modify all or part of these documents, any time, at their sole discretion.

As a Club Member (Under 18 years) of PCYC Queensland I will:

  • Respect other children, young people, and adults.
  • Cooperate and play by the rules.
  • Listen and receive instructions.
  • Control my temper.
  • Have a say about what I am involved in.
  • Speak up if I am worried or concerned about something.
  • Not use abusive, derogatory, or offensive language.
  • Not be a bully or accept any type of bullying.
  • Show respect for the equipment and facilities.

As a Club Member (18+) of PCYC Queensland I will:

  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person, regardless of their abilities, gender, religion, or cultural background.
  • Respect the decisions of employees and officials.
  • Display no form of abuse or bullying, by any means.
  • Avoid using abusive, derogatory, or offensive language.
  • Not smoke, drink alcohol, or use illicit substances while on organisation’s premises.
  • Not treat any person in an unfair, unjust, or discriminatory manner.
  • Show respect for the equipment and facilities.

As a parent/carer of a child involved in any service provided by PCYC Queensland I will:

  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person, regardless of their abilities, gender, religion, or cultural background.
  • Respect the decisions of employees/officials and teach my children to do likewise.
  • Focus on and encourage children’s efforts and performance.
  • Display no form of abuse or bullying by any means.
  • Avoid using abusive, derogatory, or offensive language.
  • Not smoke, drink alcohol, or use illicit substances while on organisation’s premises.
  • Encourage a safe and supportive service environment for children and young people and remember that I may not discipline other
    people’s children.
  • Remember that my child participates in activities for their own enjoyment, not mine.
  • Raise any issues or concerns promptly with staff.
  • Not treat any child or young person in an unfair, unjust, or discriminatory manner.
  • Show respect for the equipment and facilities.
