CHAMP

CHAMP provides positive role models to work alongside young people to improve their life choices, using boxing to foster personal growth.

About the program

PCYC Queensland’s Channeling Healthy Aggression Mentoring Project (CHAMP) provides young people access to structured activities that encourages physical health, positive decision making, emotional regulation and access to their community through sports-based interventions.

Each 1–2-hour session starts with a warm-up/stretching, followed by basic exercise and foundational skills, concluding with cool down and debrief.

Available at PCYC Ashmore, PCYC Bundaberg, PCYC Caboolture, PCYC Deception Bay, PCYC Gladstone, PCYC Gold Coast, PCYC Inala, PCYC Lang Park, PCYC Mt Gravatt, PCYC Nerang, PCYC Sandgate, PCYC Sunshine Coast and PCYC Whitsundays
