The Youth Social Prescribing Program helps connect young people and families with awesome local programs, groups and activities that matter to them – ones that are enjoyable and aimed at building confidence and connections. Social prescribing is unique in that it’s all about adding in fun and engaging things to help increase wellbeing.
If you don’t know what’s out there in your community, our Link Worker can give you information and help you figure out what you might want to link up with. If you already know what you’re interested in but there are things standing in your way, they can help you figure out ways around those barriers. For example, if you’re struggling with anxiety, the Link Worker can help you work through it with mentoring/coaching, by helping you get in contact with the group/activity and even going with you to any support sessions for the first time.
This program is free and open to all young people and families. Please note, this program runs out of Crestmead Community Centre, which is next door to PCYC Crestmead.
