Bornhoffen Leadership Development Centre

PCYC Bornhoffen was founded in 1978 as a place for LEARNING and LEADERSHIP, where we develop, RESILIENCE, RELATIONSHIPS and COMMUNITY through REFLECTION and RECREATION.

OUR APPROACH

Our Leadership Development programs use experiential and adventure-based learning, connection to nature, reflective practices and group processes to support people and their learning journey.

COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE

Leadership learning and adventure experiences are offered at the centre through school programs, community programs including SYLP, and group activities. Our programs and services are tailored to best meet the developmental needs of the participants. Some of what we offer include:

  • Outdoor Education Programs with Schools
  • Recreational Programs with Community Organisations
  • Leadership Development Programs for young people and adults
  • Re-directional Programs for vulnerable young people
  • Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journeys
  • Retreats & Venue Hire

Participants are actively involved in their learning experience, with encouragement to step outside their comfort zone as they participate in group discussions, safety, leadership and decision making.

The centre is located on a spectacular 95-hectare property in the Gold Coast Hinterland, adjacent to the World Heritage listed Lamington and springbrook National Parks, it offers a 193 bed group accommodation venue perfect for school camps and retreats.  In addition to the spectacular natural environment, cabin accommodation and full catering service, PCYC Bornhoffen is renowned for its adventure experiences including high ropes, abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing and rafting.
