The positive impact and influence that PCYC Queensland has, is reaching more young people than ever before through growing attendance numbers at our free youth and community programs

PCYC Clubs are a high demand hub bringing hundreds of young people in off the streets each week, to participate in our free youth programs.

At each of our 55 PCYC Clubs, a Police Officer runs the youth programs, using their expertise to connect with and mentor local young people.

They provide positive role models, fun activities, connections, opportunities and support for young people.

PCYC Queensland is a trusted not-for-profit charity, that has been supporting young people for more than 75 years, in partnership with the Queensland Police Service.

Sergeant Dave Wilkinson who runs the programs at PCYC Inala shares how popular they are.

“We could have a Drop In every day of the week, and every session would be full, no question. It means a lot to these young people to have this space that is made just for them, to give them somewhere to be safe and be themselves”, he said.

Sergeant Leigh, the Youth Club Program Manager who runs the youth programs at PCYC Pine Rivers, shares the importance of providing these programs for young people.

“PCYC is a space where all young people are welcome,” she said. “They keep showing up. They want to be here and engage. They come and connect with each other and come and connect with us.”

“It’s about creating something that can be quite challenging for them, to see that they can do that, and being able to improve and challenge themselves each week.”

What Young People are saying ….

Hearing young people express these thoughts powerfully reaffirms our purpose.

It’s why we are committed to creating safe, supportive spaces and programs for young people, that build confidence and capacity, foster positive experiences, and provide inspiring role models.

Our programs are growing every year, and the impact on young people is immeasurable. In the 2025-2026 financial year, we interacted with young people 456,186 times across our youth programs.

When our young people thrive, so do our neighbourhoods, and our communities around them.
