PCYC Queensland continues to work closely with local Indigenous communities, with two multi-program locations (PCYC Horn Island and PCYC Normanton) and the following six clubs are specifically Indigenous focused:
Indigenous Community Sport and Recreation Program
Our Indigenous Programs team works closely with 35 Indigenous communities in metropolitan, regional and remote locations across Queensland to achieve physical, social and emotional wellbeing outcomes for participants through our flagship programs and the government’s Indigenous Community Sport and Recreation Program (ICSRP).
The ICSRP includes a diverse range of over 70 different sporting, recreation, cultural, youth development and crime prevention activities that promote health, wellbeing and safer communities.
PCYC Queensland would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the lands on which our clubs are placed and their continuing connection to the land, sea and community.
We also acknowledge and pay our respects to Elders, past and present.
