Daniel is a valued member of the PCYC Redlands team. With a strong passion for both fitness and helping others, he brings a positive and supportive energy to the gym floor, making fitness feel approachable and enjoyable for everyone he works with.

I have been a part of the PCYC Queensland team since mid-August of 2025.

I wanted to become a trainer to help people see that fitness does not have to be scary or boring. I love the positivity and support among customers and staff in the industry. Every day is a fun day at work!

I am currently training for a four-day hike in Machu Picchu in Peru!

My favourite Activ8 Group Training class to teach is Activ8 Fit & 50s class because the exercises vary so much and I love seeing people over 50 exercising and keeping fit – it’s so important at that age.

When I started my fitness journey I was 58kg. Just recently, I weighed in at 80kg and 10% body fat. I am very happy with how far I have come, and I am feeling confident in the body I have.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! The gym is not as scary as you think and most people love to help others.

Gina is a much-loved staff member of the PCYC Pine Rivers community who has a love for both fitness and support work.

I have been a part of the PCYC Queensland team for over ten years now!

I wanted to become a trainer because I enjoy sports and I enjoy helping people with physical needs.

I have started my Pilates journey and am enjoying all the complexity and the results I am seeing.

My favourite Activ8 Group Training class to teach is Activ8 Fit & 50 with our senior Gym+Fitness members.

I have rehab with an allied health professional to assist a client with significant injuries. His gratitude for what I could help him achieve was very satisfying and rewarding.

Enjoy what you do so it is fun and easy.

Meg from PCYC Bayside loves running and thrives on the challenge it brings. Whether she’s training for her next event or helping others build confidence in the gym, she’s passionate about pushing limits and celebrating progress – both her own and her clients’.

I have been a part of the PCYC Queensland team for over three and a half years, starting in June 2022 at PCYC Carindale and recently joining the team at PCYC Bayside.

I wanted to become a trainer because I love seeing people push themselves and realise what they are capable of.

I am currently training for the Brisbane HYROX and the Queenstown marathon.

My favourite moment in my personal fitness journey was completing my first marathon last year!

Stay consistent and trust the process. Progress comes from showing up. You’ll never feel worse after exercising!

Hayley from PCYC Fernvale is a busy mum of three who loves to take on any fitness challenge she can!

I have been working at PCYC Fernvale for one year now. I started my journey in February 2025.

After having my children, my love for being fit and healthy became even more important to me because I wanted to be a great role model for my boys. I also love all things fitness and being able to help others achieve their own goals and grow a love for fitness too.

I am currently training for HYROX in April and a 24-hour Heros WOD (workout of the day) every hour on the hour which is also in April.

I personally love all the Activ8 Group Training classes for different reasons! But if I had to choose it would be Activ8 Fusion as it is exactly what I enjoy my workout sessions to be – challenging with a hit of cardio and strength that always brings the energy!

Participating in HYROX last year was a personal achievement for me and I am hoping to do even better this year and beat my time.

Be your own competition and your own inspiration!

Zane has been working in the fitness industry for over two and a half years and loves every minute of it. He’s passionate about all areas of fitness, with strength training being a particular favourite. Outside the gym, Zane enjoys travelling, with Croatia topping his bucket list.

I’ve been part of the PCYC Lang Park team for just over a year now.

I’ve always been passionate about strength and conditioning, particularly its role in injury rehabilitation and improving performance.

I’m not training for anything specific at the moment, just focusing on getting back to my pre-injury level of fitness and strength.

My favourite Activ8 Group Training classes are the strength classes.

My favourite moment in my personal fitness journey was returning to sport after recovering from two dislocated shoulders.

Keep the small promises you make to yourself, as these are often the most important.

Kae describes herself as a lifelong learner at heart! Whether it’s in her nursing studies or through the amazing people she meets at the gym, her journey as a dog mum or from her interactions with her partner, Kae learns new things every day.

I’ve been with PCYC for just over a year now. My journey begun at PCYC Townsville as a Fundamentals Gymnastics Coach. I moved to PCYC Mackay and have been their Gym and Fitness Officer since March this year.

My fascination in human anatomy combined with the love for fitness and helping others led me to become a trainer at PCYC Mackay. I love having the ability to create a safe, welcoming space for people to connect and stay active.

Not at the moment, but I never say no to a good challenge when it comes along.

My Fit & 50s class is my favourite Activ8 Group Training class to teach.

Staying active has become a part of who I am, and I am most proud of that. It keeps me feeling strong, balanced and motivated throughout all areas of my life.

Be sure to celebrate every win – even the small ones.

Charlie loves both bodybuilding training and watching bodybuilding as a sport! He also enjoys talking with people on how to improve their hypertrophy training.

I started at PCYC Queensland a little over a year ago, in October 2024.

When starting my fitness journey, I was met with a lot of positive influences in my gym that helped me work towards my goals. I wish to be a positive influence on those who are starting out also and wish to help as many people see the benefits of all exercise!

I am currently doing basic high intensity cardio and hypertrophy training to keep the joints and muscles active. Getting bigger and stronger is always a positive also.

Fusion is one of my favourite classes to run. It’s always met with some anguish and complaints by the participants, but they always persevere and come out stronger and grateful after the session (they secretly love it too!)

My favourite moments are doing the fundamental classes at PCYC Gladstone. Seeing beginners come through and get comfortable and confident while training within the gym is always a highlight.

Study anatomy and human biomechanics. These skills are extremely valuable and can help bolster your arsenal when teaching exercises along with progression and regression of movements.

Staff member Susanna says she’s like Peter Pan – a kid on the inside. And although she’s 100% Italian, she admits she’s not a fan of cheese!

I started at PCYC Logan in November 2022 as Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach. After a couple of months, I also started the role as Senior Leader for the Little n Active program. I worked as much as I could while pregnant, then my baby arrived!

After a year’s break, I started at PCYC Beenleigh in November 2024 as a Fitness Instructor, and later on I had the opportunity to be a Senior Leader again the for Little n Active program here at Beenleigh – so I am currently doing double roles!

I’ve always worked with my body as I was a professional dancer and through movement, I can express my personality better than words.

When I arrived in Australia in 2018, I wanted to study to improve my English, so I decided to go for the Fitness Industry to learn more about the body and the benefits of training.

I am currently doing the Activ8 8 Week Challenge, and I am super happy because I feel much better than I did a few months ago. Also, I am going for at least a 30 minute walk every day. My goal is to strengthen my upper body and see some biceps!

Fit & 50!! So much fun, people are lovely, and we became a family. It feels like I am not working at all! Just love it!

Angela (known as Ang) loves fun hair and funky earrings, as bright colours make her happy!

I joined the PCYC Townsville team in November 2024.

During my own fitness journey, I experienced firsthand how much my general health and fitness impacted my daily life and mental health. The healthier I got, the more energy I had and the better my outlook on life.  I studied to be a fitness trainer because I wanted to share that experience with others.

Not anything in particular! I am currently just working on improving my overall health.

Kerryn brings no fluff, straight-up support, smart coaching, and a quiet confidence that makes people feel at ease (and actually excited to train).

I joined the PCYC Bayside team in January 2025 but have been training here for a couple of years!

I became a trainer because I know how overwhelming the fitness world can be when you’re just starting out, especially if you’re trying to lose weight and feel confident in your own skin. I love showing people that it doesn’t have to be extreme to be effective, and that strength training can feel empowering (not intimidating).

I recently wrapped up a huge season of bodybuilding competitions, including the Natural Olympia in the US, but right now, my goal is to enjoy training for the love of it and build back up in my off-season.

Winning 3 world titles was incredible, but honestly, helping everyday people go from avoiding mirrors to feeling strong and proud in their bodies, hits harder than any medal.
